Celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family (the Sunday between Christmas and New Year's Day) in a special way. Ask the priests/deacons to preach at Mass on the importance of the family in God’s plan. Send a personal letter from your pastor to every family in your program encouraging them to continue to live a life of discipleship, to be faithful to each other, and create/maintain a Christ-centered focus in their family. Encourage families to celebrate this feast by having a special family meal to celebrate the gift of their family. Encourage family meals daily, weekly or as often as possible. Enforce this teaching with the kids in the classroom and ask them to remind their parents.
