Create a mini-campaign to encourage families to keep the Lord's Day holy throughout the calendar year. Do formation on the theology of the Sabbath and its purpose in the order of creation and how it will benefit the family. Create a campaign or slogan/mantra that can be repeated by kids throughout the year about keeping Sunday holy. Support this teaching with encouragement (or a challenge) to make Sundays a day of worship, rest and family….to put God first and trust that he will take care of the everything else. Do not schedule mandatory parish events on Sunday.
