Time for Homily Prep
Priests and deacons commit to 10-15 hours a week to preparing Sunday homily; staff create supporting structures to allow the preacher the time needed. Prep time should consider years of preaching experience, the preacher's gifts ((intellectual capacity, mental clarity, recall ability, creative aptitude), required study time for the topic, and whether or note the preacher will use notes.
